What we check on furniture
Checks are agreed per order and made against the approved sample. For office chairs sold in Brazil, the reference standard is ABNT NBR 13962, which sets dimensions and stability and durability tests; its certification is voluntary, while plastic monobloc chairs need compulsory INMETRO certification.
- Seams, fabric tension and color against the approved sample.
- Wood legs: finish, joints and level on a flat surface.
- Gas lift, tilt mechanism and casters working through their full range.
- Hardware count and assembly instructions inside every box.
Packed for distribution
A chair often travels on its own through distribution networks before it reaches the end user. Knocked-down parts, foam sleeves on the legs and corner protectors keep it intact; ISTA 3A is the usual reference test for single packages shipped this way.
